Watching Planes Land.
Sounds boring or something for nerds with notepads? Not at all! In fact – it’s one of the most exciting and talked about activities on the island – watching planes land at Princess Juliana International Airport.
No trip to St. Maarten is complete without standing at the beginning of the runway, on the beach, beer in hand and watching planes coming into land literally 30 ft above your head! No wonder it was featured on the dubiously named ‘Worlds’ Most Dangerous Airports’ for a History Channel special!
