- 1. Credit Cards - make sure you tell your cerdit card company BEFORE you leave home that you will be taking a Caribbean cruise! It will avoid any embarrassments or lengthy phone calls from the country you’re in to verify your identity to the issuer. ALSO – always carry ID with you when you leave the ship – some businesses will not allow a transaction if you don’t carry it!
- 2. Island Tours – For ultimate flexibility you may want to consider hiring a taxi at the port when you get off the ship. This is a great idea if you are a family of 4 – 10 people because you can get a large air-conditioned cruiser with a knowledgable driver who’ll take you exactly where you want to go, show you the sites, stop for photos or literally whatever you want, and at a GREAT PRICE compared to other tours: for $10 – $20 per head you can expect a great day out and they will make sure you avoid the traffic and get back on time!
